this renovation project of a 100 year old cabin located near aspen, colorado was designed for a client and will potentially be built summer 2020. my design philosophy combines seamless indoor-outdoor integration, marrying old with new, and preserving and conserving materials. the building is designed to maximize heat loss and efficiency. the window locations and roof angle on the addition are designed to shade and contain the temperature inside.
